Reporting a pothole

Pothole Patching
The City of Gary fills thousands of potholes every year. Most of them occur in the late winter or early spring as the streets freeze and thaw but they can develop at other times. The General Services Division handles the pothole problem one of two ways: Crews are assigned to areas of the City and will fill every hole they come across. A crew is dispatched directly to the location if the pothole is determined to be severe in nature To report a pothole via the city web site use the link on the main page and fill in the information provided. It helps to provide us with a street number nearest the hole to help identify where the pothole is. If that is not possible the nearest cross street is fine.
